Future Plans / Selling Our House

It’s with an awful mix of sadness and excitement that I write this - not to mention a certain tentativeness knowing how God has changed plans before. (What’s that old Yiddish saying about God laughing at our plans?)

The great news is that I was accepted to the seminary I applied to; the bad news is that it is in Florida.  What it is looking like right now is that we’ll come back to the States on July 23rd, stay in California until December, and then move to Florida for three years while I finish a Masters of Divinity degree and Kim substitute teaches.  We’ll see how God leads with that - if you would’ve asked us two years ago if we’d be married and living in Mongolia, we would’ve told you you were crazy. :)

Either way though, it looks like we’ll need to sell our house.  Even if we stay in California we couldn’t afford it on two students’ salaries; Kim wants to get her Masters in Education and teaching credential as well.

So, that’s why I’m writing you now.

1) Can you keep us in prayer as we finish our last 5 months here in Mongolia and look forward to what’s next?

2) Can you please keep us in mind for any jobs you see opening up in Orange County?  From what I read, the job market looks dismal so any leads you have for work starting in August would be really appreciated.

3) Do you know anyone who would be interested in buying our house?  We want to do it without agents if possible so we’re bringing it to you first. We are willing to pay $500 at the close of escrow to whoever brings in the final buyer.

If you could please pass along this link to anyone you think might be interested, we’d really appreciate it.

With trust and hope,

Nick
