Happy Valentine’s Day from Mongolia! We each, without the other knowing, got each other new jackets. That was pretty funny. Kim decorated the kitchen with two strings of 150 hand-cut hearts and a big “Happy Valentine’s Day” sign. I made us lunch and then we had a restful day reading together because it was too cold to go sledding. We really lived it up at night though because Kim made some awesome pasta (with mushrooms!) and we got to use the sun-dried tomatoes and drink the bottle of moscato d’asti we smuggled back with us. We had a candlelit dinner and watched Amelie. All in all, it was a great Valentine’s Day (our second here).
