Quick Catch Up

First of all, it’s officially under a month until we’re home!

There is a lot going on over here and we should have more to report in a little less than a week.  Right now I’m working on a writing project where I’m looking at the different general settings where the apostles and early church preached in Acts: houses, synagogues and the temple, marketplaces, and before councils and courts.  I’m also working on my last Tuesday night Bible study; which will be on Titus 3.  It’ll be sad to say goodbye to that group.

We’ve been having friends over to give away all of the stuff we’re not bringing back home to America because we’re trying to leave with as little as possible.  I think the biggest things we’ll be bringing home are our books.

Stay tuned for more very soon…

In the mean time, here are some interesting stories as of late.

PBS is banning religious programming but will they be consistent when it comes to their New Age programming, in particular Deepak Chopra’s?

Apparently there is an interesting battle starting between Google and Facebook over who will control the internet.

One of my favorite pastors and writers is Tim Keller.  He pastors a church in what must be one of the hardest cities in America to do so, New York.  He is academic while being relatable, and apologetic while being pastoral.  Christianity today recently did a biographical piece that some of you might find interesting.  Those of you in NYC should stop by Redeemer Presbyterian sometime.
