A Hammer & Nails: Reformation Day
If one wanted an image of what obedience in Christianity looked like, we might simply say, “A hammer and nails.”
In His obedience, Jesus laid on His cross and let the Romans’ hammer and nails secure Him to it, obtaining our salvation. In his obedience, Martin Luther listed his protests against the Roman Church and drove them into the Wittenberg church door, altering the course...
Our Thin Culture →
One of the first things Kim and I noticed when we came to Mongolia was the Western influence on the youth here. They love hip hop and for the most part dress like anyone you might see in LA or New York. They even have hip hop shops that sell only G-Unit shirts and American basketball jerseys and hats. With that love of hip hop has come graffiti; but the strange thing is that they...

Dear Communist Party
I know you guys are excited about the elections yesterday but usually people celebrate and light off fireworks at night, not at 6am. And wow, you really must’ve won by a lot for there to be not one, but TWO rounds of fireworks. Thank you for the startling wake up call though. It’s fun to wake up thinking someone has a rifle in the street.
Sincerely,
Nick
